The section begins in an area of spacious plains in the Jordan Valley and passes by the tents of the Bedouin community of Wadi al-Auja. Nearby Jericho, members of the Aqbat Jaber Refugee Camp Women’s Center invite hikers for warm home-cooked meals and offer overnight stays at one of its kind mudbrick guesthouses.

Notes And Tips

Check the weather before you go. Always remember about sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses). During the summer season wear light but modest clothes. During the winter season remember about a warmer jacket – mornings and evenings are usually cold.
